Conscious Discipline

Conscious Discipline

Conscious Discipline is our universal social emotional program. We offer opportunities for families to learn about the program throughout the school year beginning at orientation.

It is a comprehensive approach that emphasizes self-regulation and emotional intelligence in both adults and children. It's a shift from traditional punitive methods to a brain-smart, research-based method that focuses on building skills for healthy conflict resolution and positive behavior management

All behavior is a form of communication. Children’s behaviors will reveal their needs if we are willing to listen.

Safety, Connected and Problem-Solving

Three diagrams of the human brain illustrating states of regulation, labeled from left to right: "Survival State" with the brain stem highlighted in red, "Emotional State" with the limbic system highlighted in blue, and "Executive State" with the prefrontal lobes highlighted in green.

Using a simplified brain model can help us deepen our self-awareness, allowing us to respond thoughtfully and compassionately to the needs of each moment.

We completed a 4 part family series in October. Look for the next family series beginning in February.
